The Ocampo family established the John L. Ocampo Endowment Fund to support Radio Frequency (RF) and microwave engineering research at leading academic institutions. This $100 million commitment—one of the largest of its kind—honors the legacy of John Ocampo, a pioneer in the compound semiconductor industry whose work was dedicated to advancing global communications technology.

John came to the US in 1972 as an immigrant from the Philippines and received a full scholarship to attend Santa Clara University. His education served as a springboard for the many accomplishments he achieved as a successful engineer, entrepreneur and investor. It is our hope that this fund inspires the next generation of engineers to drive technological progress with the same curiosity and passion that John exemplified.​
